Carriage Bolt
Carriage bolts are primarily used for fastening in timber structures and joining timber and metal components. Their characteristic rounded head and square neck provide a smooth external surface without a tool recess. The square neck resists rotation during tightening when properly engaged with the surrounding material.
The range mainly includes DIN 603 / ISO 8677 carriage bolts, alongside a smaller selection of DIN 608 bolts with countersunk heads. Carriage bolts are used in timber construction, machinery, industrial assembly and other applications where a smooth head profile or fastening from one side is required.
Carriage bolts are available in steel, A2 stainless steel and A4 stainless steel, with different dimensions, lengths, property classes and surface treatments. Material and coating selection depends on mechanical loading, environmental exposure and the requirements of the application.
