Locking Nut Steel
Steel locking nuts are used in bolted joints where the nut needs to resist unintended loosening, for example under vibration or dynamic loading. The locking function creates resistance to rotation and helps the nut maintain its position in the joint.
The range includes both nylon insert lock nuts and all-metal lock nuts in different property classes, sizes, thread pitches and surface treatments. Nylon insert lock nuts generate the locking effect through friction between the nylon insert and the screw thread, while all-metal lock nuts use a mechanically deformed locking section to provide the locking effect without a polymer insert. The range includes several established DIN and ISO standards for industrial and engineering applications.
